Tuition and Fees for 2018-2019 

Tuition

  • Full Day Elementary (Ages 6-12)- $6,540
  • Full Day Preschool/ Kindergarten (Ages 3-6)- $6,540
  • Half Day Preschool- Morning or Afternoon (Ages 3-4)- $4,360

Associated Fees

  • Registration Fee- $50 per new family (non-refundable)
  • Deposit/ Materials Fee- $150 per child (non-refundable)
  • Smart Tuition Registration Fee- approx. $50 per account (one time fee only if using a payment plan)
  • Field Trip Fees- approx. $50 per season, per child
  • Late Pick-up Fees- $5 per 10 minutes late per child (See handbook for more details.)
  • Extended Daycare Fees-Please see Daycare Fees.
  • Late Fees- $10 for each late payment for field trip/ daycare/ late pick up fees paid directly to the school (See Smart Tuition regarding late payments on payment plans.)

Payment Plan

Dayton Montessori Society partners with Smart Tuition for payment collection.  All families will be provided an account and must pay tuition and other fees as noted through Smart Tuition or pay the total tuition due by the early payment date of July 1 directly to the school.  There are several convenient options for payment through Smart Tuition.  Information will be provided to each family upon enrollment.  

Discounts/ Scholarships

  • Early Payment Discount- A discount of 10% off the annual tuition will be applied if tuition is paid in full on or before July 1.  (Note: Scholarship recipients  whose payment are dispersed throughout the year are not eligible for the Early Payment Discount.)
  • Sibling Discount- For families with two children enrolled, a discount of 10% will be applied to the family's tuition total.  For families with three or more children enrolled, a discount of 15% will be applied to the family's tuition total.  The Sibling Discount is applicable toward Daycare Regular Fees but not toward Drop-in Fees, deposits, or other fees.  
  • Local Scholarship Programs- Dayton Montessori Society accepts the EdChoice and EdChoice Expansion scholarships.  (See www.ode.state.oh.us to determine eligibility.)  

Daycare Fees

Regular Daycare Fees

  • Morning Daycare (7:30am-8:30am)- $864 annually
  • Afternoon Daycare (3:30pm-5:00pm)- $1,296 annually

Families may register students for "Regular" use of daycare, either morning, or afternoon, or both, for the reduced annual fees listed above (annual fees are 40% off the drop-in fees).  Regular fees will be added to annual tuition fees and paid on the payment plan or are eligible for the Early Payment Discount, along with the annual tuition.  Annual tuition and regular daycare payments are non-refundable and and will not be pro-rated.  

Drop-in Daycare Fees

  • Preschool/Kindergarten Daycare Drop-in Fee- $5 per half hour
  • Elementary Daycare Drop-in Fee- $4 per half hour

Enrolled students may use morning or afternoon daycare on a drop-in basis with notice for the Drop-in Fee to be billed monthly, separate from Smart Tuition payments.  To ensure staff:student are maintained, parents must notify DMS by written or phone message when students will be dropping in to daycare as soon as possible.  Due to ratios, DMS cannot guarantee drop-in spots will be available every day. 

Times are recorded per half hour.  If a student is present for any portion of the half hour, the family will be charged for that time period.  There are two half hour periods during the morning daycare session and three half hour periods in the afternoon session.

*Students must be enrolled and present during school hours to attend extended daycare hours.  Drop-in fees must be paid in full by the 15th of the next month in order for students to be eligible to use daycare.  Daycare privileges may be revoked due to non-payment or other issues as mentioned in the Parent Handbook.
