Book Report: Priority Work

Instructions: Choose a book to read during the month.  Read it. Write a book report.  Make an art project to advertise the book to your friends.

Have an adult help you choose a book that is the right level.  Remember a good guide to help you choose a good level book for you is the five finger method.  Hold up a hand and read a page of the book.  Put down a finger for each word that you need extra help to read.  If all five of your fingers are down, the book may be too challenging for today.

The art project must include the title of the book, the author, your name, the date, and art or words to describe the book.

Practice presenting your book report to be ready to present to the class at our Morning Zoom Meeting during the last week of the month.

Due Date: TBA (last week of the month)

Repetition: You may do this work multiple times, but you may only present one book during the Zoom meeting.

Instructions for adults:  Students may choose a book you have in the house or check out an e-book from the library or other e-book source.  If your child has an assigned phonetic reader, they may choose that book or another.  The poster may be on any paper and use any art supplies you have available and may be as simple or intricate as you and your student wish it to be.
